A lot of audience
Each of them whispered. Softly. Inaudibly.
Some whispers turned into beautiful flowing melodies while others became rhythmic phrases.
They were comfortably repeated over and over.
Yet, when they tried to speak,
the words melted away like a lump of sugar before their lips.
And then there was nothing left, not even in their head.

彼らは思い思いに口の中でささやいた。
誰にも聞こえないように弱く、そっと。
あるささやきは頭の中で美しく流麗な旋律となり、
またあるささやきはリズミカルなフレーズとなって何度も繰り返された。
しかし、それらを口の外へ出そうとすると、
唇の内側で角砂糖のようにサラサラと溶けてなくなり、
頭の中からも跡形もなく消え去ってしまった。
My first solo exhibition "Whispered Voice" was held at The Hanger Gallery at Santa Monica Art Studios, Santa Monica, USA. From April 9 to May 7, 2016. In this show, I exhibited 11 single works including "The Shadow of Your Tenderness" and also a piece from "The Long Goodbye". I selected them as a special series for "the show "Whispered Voice", also wrote a short sentence for it.
